The alarm at the Lake Parsippany Fire Company sounded nearly 120 times last year. The majority of those calls were for assistance dealing with carbon monoxide alarms, smoke detectors, and water pump outs. We also responded to a dozen calls for house fires and car fires. We also responded to calls in the other fire districts in Parsippany for manpower assistance as well as requesting assistance from those same fire companies. Each time the alarm sounded, your friends and neighbors, the volunteer members of the fire company, were there to help.

Like you, we are all residents of Lake Parsippany. We are your neighbors and your co-workers. We are a diverse group, but we have one thing in common — a desire to serve our community by being there when you need us. Each member spends hundreds of hours a year training to be able to serve you better. We provide the time and commitment.

WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS WE ARE NOT PAID, OUR PROPERTY TAXES ARE NOT DISCOUNTED AND WE DO NOT HAVE A PENSION PROGRAM. AS VOLUNTEERS, WE SAVE THE LAKE PARSIPPANY COMMUNITY MILLIONS OF DOLLARS EACH YEAR. THIS MEANS A SMALLER TAX BILL FOR YOU.

We have made the investment of our time and commitment. Now we ask for your financial support. Please print and detach the lower portion of this letter and mail with your tax deductible donation today. A $50.00 check is only a little less than a dollar a week. What can you buy for a dollar? It buys you peace of mind that we will be there for you. Please make that investment so we can continue to serve you.
